My wardrobe favourites.

"A mixture between Serena van der Woodsen, Audrina Patridge and Blair Waldorf." That´s how one of my closest friends describes my personal style. He was also the one who inspired me to write this post.
***
I´m going to give you a little peek into my closet by showing you some of my favourite garments.
My favourite kind of jeans or trousers in general are either straight cuts or skinny fits since they perfectly go with both highheels and flat shoes.

The skinny jeans pictured above are my favourite ones at the moment. They´re by EDC (Esprit) and as you can see on the second picture they have a little zipper detail which I absolutely adore.
***

Here are a few pictures of the shirts/tops that I usually pair with my EDC skinny jeans.

A lovely top by Bench that has an eyecatching print on the front.

I´ve last worn this blouse about a week ago when I went out for dinner with a couple of friends. I think it looks sophisticated but yet still very casual.
*

One of my favourite everyday tshirts by Esprit. I love the colour and the studded shoulders.
*

A very flattering top which is tighter around the bust but looser around the tummy.
*
Here´s one of my dresses. My friend actually named it the "Blair Waldorf dress".

*
Another favourit garment of mine are fitted blazers. They pretty much make any outfit look more elegant.

*

And last but not least my favourite shoes and bags.

I hope you enjoyed this post. I´m planning to do my next one on accessories. xMK

Skincare

Over the years I´ve tested loads of skincare products. Some of them were effective but most of them weren´t.
I´ve got oily acneprone skin and keeping my skin pimple and shine-free has always been a constant battle.
About three months ago I started using Cliniques Anti Blemish products and I must say that I´m more than pleased with the results.
I read an article titled "Good vibrations" in Elle (US) magazines April issue which focussed on the benefits of vibrating beauty tools such as the Clarisonic skin care brush, Neutrogenas Wave power cleanser and so forth. According to Anne Chapas (MD, NY dermatologist), vibration enhances circulation and gets the blood under the dermis flowing. It also enables molecules in serums and mosturizers to penetrate the skin more efficiently.
When it comes to cleaning, the vibration helps move your skin and dislodge dirt without irritating it says Robb Akridge (PhD).

After reading the article I went to town and bought Neutrogenas Pure Glow microdermabrasion system.

Instead of putting the peeling cream onto the sponge applicator I use Cliniques liquid facial soap for oily skin.

I use it every evening for about 3-5 minutes and afterwards apply the Anti Blemish Clearing lotion and moisturizer.

Twice a week I use Cliniques pore minimizer mask.

What´s in my bag?

This is my very first blog and I´ve decided to give you a little peek into the contents of my bag. The bag I´m currently using is by Suzy Smith. I bought it a week ago in TKMaxx for 16,99 GBP instead of 80GBP. (Sorry about the mess in the background)

My favourite handlotion is from Dove pro age since it gives my skin the right amount of moisture without leaving them greasy.
The little quilted patent pouch contains some of my daily essentials such as mascara, powder, lipgloss, a travelsized toothbrush and toothpaste, handsanitizing wipes, painkillers and plasters.
My nails tend to break quite easily, that´s why I carry a portable manicure set with me which I purchased from the Body shop during their sale in January for 4 GBP. It contains a nailfile, nailclippers, little scissors and a cuticle remover.
I always carry some sort of fragrance with me, which at the moment happens to be Victorias Secret love spell.

Other items that you can find in my handbag are my cellphone, a diary, a set of homekeys, a pair of sunglasses, my wallet and my Nintendo DSi. I also tend to carry my MP3 Player and a book with me (not pictured). The book I´m currently reading is Jane Austen´s Emma.

I hope you enjoyed my first post. My next one will be about skin products I´ve tested, so stay tuned. xMK
